It's official- we have a vaccine!
After a long tiresome wait, we (the republic of Ireland) have discovered a vaccination!. The test results were said to be 'promising'.
Two Irish scientists, who were involved with the development of a coronavirus vaccine at Oxford university, have said the results from phase three of the trials are 'fantastic' and 'promising' - RTE news
So who created said vaccination?.
British drugs group, AstraZeneca and the two Irish scientists from the University of Oxford.

Where can I get the vaccine?.
Four hospitals will be the settings for the first 2,000 vaccinations: Saint James Hospital and Beaumont in Dublin and the Cork and Galway university hospitals.
We are beginning the first 10,000 doses, starting today ( 29th December 2020).

Facts:
- Around 10,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in Ireland on St Stephens day.
- Bernie Waterhouse was the first healthcare worker to get the vaccine
- The roll-out of the vaccine to nursing home residents and staff is expected to start next week.
